The Whitechapel Murderer
This is a nicely made version of the Marie Belloc Lowndes novel The Lodger, which first came to the screen in the Hitchcock silent The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog, though my favorite remains 1944's The Lodger. The main cast does well, aside from lacking British accents. Frances Bavier, who I remember as Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show deserves special mention as the suspicious landlady. The London street sets are great. They give a good feel to the movie. I don't recall ever seeing London bobbies on horseback in a movie before, but it seems plausible.
I downloaded the 1.1GB MPEG2 file. It played perfectly in the VLC movie player. Video and audio quality were fine.

Dancing girls & death.
Jack Palance is very good and outshines most of the other actors. A better supporting cast would make this movie great but it's mostly dancing girls (and they're fun to watch!) and innuendos about the murderous Ripper.
